Tim Stewart Photography - FAQ
- Can we buy the original image files on disk?
Yes, please see our price list for details: Price List.
- What happens if it rains on my wedding day?
We’re very happy to continue shooting in the rain, if you’re happy to go out in it! Realistically it’s worth considering a plan ’B’ as to where to take the photographs if we can’t go outside, this will be discussed at your pre-wedding meeting.
- How long do you keep our images?
We never delete your images, the images and multiple backups are stored indefinitely.
- What will you do if your camera breaks on the day?
Use another one! We bring at least two cameras and other backup equipment on the day.
- Can you supply pictures printed onto canvas?
Yes, please see our price list for details: Price List.
- How long does it take to get our pictures back after the wedding?
Usually around two weeks, if you go away on honeymoon, we do our best to get your Preview Album and DVD ready for your return.
- Do we need to supply a meal if you are staying all day?
No, we’re perfectly capable of bringing sandwiches and it gives us the opportunity to check our equipment, backup your photographs etc.
- Can we have some of our pictures in black and white?
No problem, all pictures are taken in colour but can be converted to black and white, sepia, spot colour, soft glow or any other effect. Unless you ask us to do something very complicated there will be no extra charge for adding effects.
- Can images be retouched?
Yes, the images shown in your Preview Album and DVD are pretty much as they come out on the camera. Pictures ordered for your album, book or prints are all adjusted to show them at their best. This might include adjusting brightness, colour, removing blemishes and distractions, or on one occasion putting a lady’s teeth in that she’d forgotten to bring to the wedding!
- Can our wedding pictures be viewed on the internet?
Yes any pictures that have been prepared for your album, book or prints can be uploaded to the internet free of charge.
- Why are your prices so expensive?
It is true there are many photographers offering extremely cheap wedding photography, however I believe my prices offer exceptional value for money considering the quality of service and photography that you’ll receive. I’m a full time professional photographer specialising in weddings, it often takes a week and more to process and present a wedding, photographers who only work weekends offer a very different service.
- Why are your prices so reasonable?
I believe in offering the best quality at a fair price, working from home means lower overheads than photographers who have high street premises. As I specialise in weddings which are all on location I don’t need a studio and so can keep my prices very competitive without sacrificing quality or service.
- We have been given an album as a wedding present; do we need to buy one from you as well?
No I’m quite happy for you to buy prints or a disk so you can make up your own album.
- How can we send one of our wedding pictures into our local newspaper?
I’m happy to do that on your behalf a no extra cost, just ask.
- How long will you attend the wedding for?
Depending on which package you choose, as long as you like. The top package includes attendance for up to 12 hours.
- What pictures will you take at our wedding?
It’s very important that I take the pictures you’d like me to take which is one of the reasons for the pre-wedding meeting as it helps give me an idea of your ideas and preferences. I can supply you with a sample list which you can adapt as you wish.
- I have a particular style of photography in mind, are you able to take similar photographs?
No problem, if you see images in bridal magazines that you like, bring them along to the pre-wedding meeting and I’ll do my best to reproduce them on the day.
